About the role
As the Operations Support Officer, you will assist the depot’s management team with the day-to-day coordination of key functions. You’ll work across rostering, payroll, compliance, and general operational support—helping to ensure our services run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Administration
Manage mandatory compliance reporting (e.g. STV, TAC, internal reports)
Handle infringement notices and assist with documentation
Support the induction and on-the-job training for new and relieving drivers
Liaise with relevant teams for depot repairs and infrastructure needs
Assist with reception and general administrative tasks as required
Rostering & Payroll Support
Support the Operations team with weekly driver rosters, RDOs, and annual leave schedules
Update payroll using relevant systems
Collaborate with the Charter team for large-scale event movements
Operations & Network Support
Assist in planning and managing route diversions
Support fuel stock control, ordering, and reporting
Contribute to various operational improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
-
Experience in an operational support role—ideally in the public transport sector
Strong time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (highly regarded)
