About the Role – Area Manager

As an Area Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role overseeing supported accommodation homes across your assigned region. You’ll ensure person-centred services are delivered at the highest standards while driving operational performance, compliance, and team development.

You will report directly to the Managing Director and be accountable for service delivery, workforce capability, policy implementation, and continuous improvement. This role is vital in achieving our goals for participant outcomes, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

You will:

Provide strategic leadership to House Managers and support teams

Oversee service quality, compliance, and participant satisfaction

Monitor budgets, occupancy trends, and funding utilisation

Support recruitment, training, and supervision of staff

Engage regularly across all homes under your area

Be part of the after-hours/on-call management roster as required

About You

We are looking for a values-aligned leader with a proven record in human services and disability support. You’ll bring compassion, confidence, and commitment to lead our teams and elevate participant care.

You will have:

A degree in Human Services, Social Work, Community Services, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in disability, aged care, or community services

Sound knowledge of NDIS reforms, DFFH, TAC, CYF frameworks and funding models

Strong financial acumen: budgeting, reporting, grants, and service agreements

Demonstrated experience managing dispersed teams and complex operations

High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to work independently with strong time management and organisation

Experience supporting people with neurocognitive disabilities, mental health, and complex medical needs

Previous experience in managing accommodation settings such as SIL or supported housing

Commitment to person-centred, rights-based, and inclusive practice

Uphold high ethical standards and models integrity in all decisions

Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a private vehicle
