Support Worker
Attend Support Services
Adelaide SA
Job Description
Support Workers – All Rounders with a Passion for Complex Care
Join a Team That Values Compassion, Skill, and Growth
At Attend Support Services, we are incredibly proud of the strong and dedicated team of support workers we already have. Every team member is valued, important, and plays a vital role in the way we deliver care. We are now looking for more exceptional people to join us, individuals who will carry the same level of care and professionalism into the community and into people’s homes.
We are seeking all-rounder Support Workers who can provide a variety of supports, including social support, personal care, manual handling, daily living assistance, shopping, and transport. While we are recruiting across all types of support work, we are especially interested in those who are passionate about growing their skills and working in complex care. We want to ensure the most vulnerable members of our community receive the highest quality, most consistent supports possible.
You do not need to have complex care experience to apply. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your compassion, and your commitment to building strong, ongoing relationships with participants.
Why We Value Consistency
At Attend, 99% of our shifts are part of a permanent roster that repeats week by week. This gives participants the stability they need to build trust and work toward their NDIS goals, and it gives you a predictable schedule and better work-life balance. We believe quality care comes from relationships, so we do not offer one-off shifts unless there is a genuine supporting circumstance.
What We Are Looking For
Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) or currently studying toward this
Ability to provide a range of supports including social support, personal care, manual handling, daily living tasks, shopping, and transport
Willingness to learn and develop skills in complex care
Compassion, empathy, and respect for participant privacy and dignity
Reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills
Availability across a range of shifts, with a minimum of 25 hours per week and at least 4 days of availability
Preferred but Not Essential
Experience working with challenging behaviours
Current Manual Handling Certificate and experience using hoists
First Aid and CPR certification
All relevant clearances including NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children’s Check
Training the Attend Way
We understand the importance of training our staff the Attend way, so please do not be discouraged from applying if you do not meet every single requirement listed. If you are the right fit, have a willingness to learn, and operate with compassion at your core, we are happy to provide the training and support you need to succeed.
