Your new role
As an Autism Employment Consultant - IEA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting autistic individuals to overcome employment barriers and achieve meaningful, sustainable work.
Working collaboratively with individuals, employers, support services, and internal teams your responsibilities will include:
Delivering tailored, strengths-based support that fosters inclusion and long-term success.
Delivering post-placement support and mentoring to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Ensure all DES & National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS) compliance standards are unilaterally applied and maintained.
Produce accurate data and reports as directed by direct line manager.
Training in understanding of Autism, neurodiversity, and inclusive employment practices will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed
Genuine understanding and attentiveness to the unique experiences and needs of autistic individuals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including awareness of diverse communication styles.
Experience in employment support, case management, or vocational counselling.
Ability to identify and implement creative solutions to overcome employment barriers and support participants to find and maintain employment. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed of best practices supports for autistic individuals and emerging trends in disability employment
Proven ability to build strong employer partnerships and achieve meaningful job placements.
Ability to maintain a positive outlook and perseverance, inspiring confidence and motivation in participants facing challenges.
Knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance standards.
Competency in maintaining confidentiality and data security.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Proficiency with Office 365, CRM systems and digital tools for reporting and record keeping.

Certificate IV in Employment/Community Services or related field (preferred)
DHS Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
National Police Check (NPC) (or willing to obtain)
