Support Workers – Casual Roles
Hunter Region | Community & SIL Homes | 28–38 hrs/week

The Offer
We want to fill 28–38 hours per week, rostered across seven days, with a preference for longer shifts (6–8 hours) to make your workdays more productive. You’ll work with clients in both home and community settings, supporting daily living, personal goals, and community engagement. Probationary periods apply for all roles.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support in SIL homes and the community
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal goals
Support and participate in community outings and activities
Transport clients to appointments and events
Keep accurate records, case notes, and reports
Participate in staff communication, supervision, and meetings
Maintain a safe and welcoming home environment
Shifts include AM, PM, weekends, overnights.
Must-Haves
Previous relevant work history (not suitable for first-time workers)
Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check (if rostered with young clients)
Police Check Clearance (within the last 12 months)
NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to complete)
Eligibility to work in Australia
High level competency in English speaking and writing
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Medication handling certification (paid training available if needed)
Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Community Services, or related field
Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Experience in Mental Illness, ABI, or Intellectual Disability support
Casual rates at Level 1 Pay Point 3 (industry base rate) or Level 2 Pay Point 2 with qualifications and/or experience
