Your new role:
We are seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join the Acute team at Princess Alexandra Hospital, delivering high-quality, evidence-based services within a supportive and collaborative environment. In this role, you will:
Provide expert clinical Speech Pathology services across acute inpatients, the spinal cord injuries unit, and specialist outpatient services, including participation in the weekend service roster.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research activities that advance patient care and the profession.
Supervise and support less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants to foster growth and development.
Act as a key clinical reference point within the Speech Pathology team, applying independent judgement in complex clinical decision-making.
About you:
A skilled and motivated Speech Pathologist who thrives in a fast-paced, healthcare environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes. You will have:
Proven expertise in delivering complex Speech Pathology services in acute care, spinal cord injury, and/or specialist outpatient settings.
Well-developed clinical and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing demands in a complex caseload.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to supervise, mentor, and educate less experienced staff and students.
