We are currently seeking a dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our team and help drive both exceptional service delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client-Centred Care & Support
• Provide direct support and personal care to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being
• Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., hygiene, meals, medication, mobility) and support community-based activities aligned with individual goals
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, following established protocols and seeking guidance when required
• Develop and monitor individual support plans, ensuring personalised, high-quality care
Teamwork & Collaboration
• Participate in team meetings, on-the-job training, and ongoing professional development
• Foster positive relationships with clients, families, team members, and external organisations
• Support a collaborative, respectful team environment grounded in the ICARE values: Innovation, Care, Accountability, Respect, and Empowerment
Operational Support
• Assist with roster management, including coordinating shift coverage, tracking availability, and ensuring staffing levels align with client support needs
• Provide input on service optimisation and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and client outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to communication protocols and NDIS compliance requirements
Business Development Support
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to growing the client base through exceptional service delivery
• Identify new opportunities for service expansion, including referrals and local community partnerships
• Represent Healthcare Services Plus at events, expos, or provider meetings to enhance brand visibility and trust
About You:
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a residential or SIL care setting
• Experience with roster coordination and/or client scheduling preferred
• Demonstrated interest or experience in service promotion and client engagement
• Strong understanding of NDIS and person-centred care principles
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and teamwork skills
• Empathy, reliability, and a proactive approach to service excellence
Mandatory Requirements:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• National Police Check (within 12 months)
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• COVID-19 Vaccination (as per public health requirements)
• Manual Handling and Medication Administration (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s Licence (required for community access duties)
