Kooweerup Regional Health Service (KRHS) is a public hospital located approximately 1 hours’ drive south east of Melbourne in the rural area of Cardinia Shire.
Kooweerup Regional Health Service provides a range of services including Acute Medical, Residential Aged Care, Community Health, Allied health and Early Parenting

The Grade 1 Physiotherapist provides high quality assessment and intervention to maximise the functional independence, health, safety and quality of life to inpatients and community-based clients across all KRHS clinical and preventative health service areas The Grade 1 Physiotherapist is required to work within a multidisciplinary team to strengthen the functioning and quality of life of aged care consumers, medical inpatients, TCP and community based clients.
Developing a strong knowledge and skill base, the Grade one physiotherapist will ensure a commitment to partnering with consumers, collaborative practice and evidence-based knowledge which contributes to positive client outcomes and service development.
The successful applicant will receive supervision and support from senior staff and will participate in quality improvement activities.
Applicants will require:
Mandatory
· Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Master of Physiotherapy or recognised equivalent
· Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
· Member of or eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
· Current valid Police Check and current Working with Children’s Check
· Current Victorian Driver’s License – some driving is required
· Compliance with mandatory Vaccinations
· Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
· Proficient computer skills.
Desirable
· Demonstrated knowledge of clinical Physiotherapy theory and practice
· Established skills in time management, organisation and planning.
· Previous Experience working in aged care settings
· Rights to live and work in Australia
