Job Description
About Us
Kieser Australia is a national network of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and Strength & Conditioning Clinics. Our integrated model of care combines the best of clinical physiotherapy, state-of-the-art rehab equipment, and long-term strength training to help clients achieve meaningful health outcomes.
Opportunity
We are proud to launch an exciting new model of care in partnership with the new King Street Private Hospital in Newcastle. This fully integrated partnership sees our Kieser Newcastle team support patients from pre-operative education through inpatient short-stay hospital care to long-term outpatient rehabilitation — creating a seamless and exceptional patient experience.
We’re looking for passionate Physiotherapists to join our hospital-clinic hybrid team, working across both our onsite clinic and short-stay surgical ward. In this unique role, you’ll deliver peri-operative care, inpatient physiotherapy, and long-term outpatient rehabilitation, making a real impact across the full spectrum of recovery and prevention.
You’ll work closely with surgeons, pain physicians, nurses, Exercise Physiologists, and Exercise Scientists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care for orthopaedic, spinal, and pain patients.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver physiotherapy services both on the ward and in the on-site Kieser clinic
Provide high-quality peri-operative and inpatient care, focused on early mobilisation and safe discharge planning
Guide patients through successful transitions from hospital to outpatient rehab
Facilitate pre-operative group education for surgical candidates
Collaborate with surgeons and the Short Stay Allied Health Lead to refine protocols and review patient outcomes
Use objective measures (like strength testing) to guide treatment and recovery
Educate clients on the long-term benefits of strength training to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent recurrence
Work with a supportive multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient experiences
This is a first of its kind opportunity, combining clinical excellence, evidence-based rehabilitation and a seamless end-to-end experience for patients and clients.
