About Murwillumbah Physiotherapy and Health Care
Murwillumbah Physiotherapy has been established for over 30 years and offer a full range of physiotherapy services. Our highly qualified and experienced staff are trained in the analysis of human movement and the physical treatment of disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system. We offer a patient centred approach to health care and provide our clients with more ways tomove well and live well.
Our hands-on treatment style combined with customised exercise programs, means we will provide our clients with a tailored consultation that optimises their return to full function. Our practice has an outstanding reputation with doctors and the local community for providing a high standard of professional treatment and achieving great results.
We have rehabilitation equipment set up within the clinic which enables us to provide 1:1 and group exercise classes. We run weekly group hydrotherapy and pilates classes. We also offer hand therapy services including the fabrication of customised thermoplastic splints. We also perform home visits within the local community.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist (Experienced and New Graduates encouraged to apply) to join the MPHC team on a part-time basis. You will be exposed to a varied private practice caseload. Professional development and regular mentoring is encouraged and supported both in-house and externally.
Your role:
Provision of evidence-based physiotherapy or exercise physiology services to a private caseload
Opportunities to work with specific client groups (e.g. NDIS, aged care, work cover, home visits)
We will tailor the role to suit your areas of clinical interest
Structured mentoring available
Flexible hours and days to suit the right candidate
Skills we are seeking:
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
Demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people
An unwavering desire to provide the highest quality patient care, with a strong focus on restoring pain free, full function without the need for ongoing treatment
Essential requirements:
Tertiary qualification as a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist
Current full AHPRA Physiotherapist registration or Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Current Australian driver’s license
