We’re seekingcompassionate, reliable and purpose-driven Support Workers(both male and female) to join our growingForensic and Specialist Transition (FAST) Team. You will support a vulnerable NDIS participant as she transitions into her own home and builds a meaningful life that is safe, connected, and filled with possibility.

This is not your typical support role – you’ll be part of atrauma-informed, psychologically aware team, working under the guidance of a dedicated Service Coordinator to deliver a specialist, evidence-based model of support that empowers, uplifts, and has been shown to make a lasting difference.

About the Role

You’ll be working alongside another team member to provideperson-centred active supporton a 2:1 ratio to a female participant whose life is profoundly affected by multiple and complex mental health conditions. Your role is to help her feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.

This includes:

Building daily routines and life skills to support her transition into the community

Supporting emotional regulation and responding to behaviours of concern with compassion, consistency and professionalism

Encouraging independence through activities like cooking, community access, and public transport

Implementing Behaviour Support Plans and contributing to risk assessments

Promoting dignity, choice, and hope – always

Every action you take will supporthealing, safety and personal growth.

Who We’re Looking For

You will bring acalm presence,resilienceand a genuine passion for people living with complexmental health diagnosesandtrauma-informed careneeds. You are grounded, self-aware and able to hold space for strong emotions being freely expressed.

You are someone who can:

Listen deeply and respond with empathy

Foster trust and build authentic relationships whilst maintaining a non-judgemental approach

Stay composed in high-pressure situations

Validate and support emotional expression

Promote safety and routine while building capacity

Be a consistent, respectful and reliable presence

Maintain clear and consistent professional boundaries

Ideal candidates may have:

Experience in mental health, psychosocial disability or complex behaviour support

Background in allied health, psychology, community services or similar (students and under-grads welcome)

Understanding of trauma-informed care and human rights-based practice

Confidence with risk management, safety protocols, and incident reporting

Availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends and overnights

Qualifications and Certificates required:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Current Driver's Licence

Current First Aid Certificate

Current CPR

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
