**NDIS Support Workers – Lawnton

CSBS is seeking Support Workers to join our dedicated team and provide person-centred support to a 27-year-old male participant in a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment in Lawnton.
This participant enjoys spending time outdoors digging in the garden or sandpit, swimming, bushwalking, and relaxing with his iPad. We're looking for calm, confident, and compassionate workers who can provide structure, safety, and positive engagement.
Shift Times:
· 4.00 pm – 10.00 pm (followed by a sleepover from 10pm-6am)
· 6.00am - 8.00am (following the sleepover)

About you
We're looking for calm, confident, and committed individuals with a minimum of 2 years' experience in complex SIL settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mental health and trauma-informed support and demonstrate an understanding of positive behaviour strategies.
You will have experience supporting people with:
· Autism and intellectual disability
· High anxiety and communication challenges (non-verbal support)
· Personal care, including showering and toileting
· Extensive redirection and behavioural supports
Highly desirable experience includes:
· Understanding and implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
· MAYBO or similar safety response training
· Tertiary qualification or minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, or similar
Relevant probity items required
· a Positive Notice Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain the latter
· a Positive Notice - Blue Card
· an Open Queensland Driver's Licence
· a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
· a current First Aid & CPR Certificate
· a reliable smartphone with data
· completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
