About Communify
Communify empowers people to stay independent, connected, and supported through programs in aged care, family & individual support, mental health, disability, housing & homelessness, recovery, and NDIS. We also run neighbourhood centres, offering emergency relief, food security, social inclusion, multicultural support, community gardens, and venue hire.
About the Role
Part-time (min. 30 hrs./fortnight)– includes evenings & weekends
Work at Safe Space, an after-hours service open 7 days
Provide psychosocial and recovery support to guests, families, and carers
- Use your lived experience of mental illnessto connect and support recovery
Key Duties
Support guests to de-escalate distress
Provide information, guidance, and recovery-focused support
Build capacity and help guests identify goals
Skills & Experience
Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work (or similar)
Experience supporting people in distress
Lived experience of mental illness and recovery
Ability to use your story purposefully to support others
Blue Card, Police Check, Open Driver’s Licence, Disability screening
**Desirable:**trauma-informed practice, strength-based support, and group facilitation.
