Mental Health and Disability Support Workers - NDIS

This is an opportunity to join the EPIC Support Services team supportingAdults, Youth and Childrenliving withBrain disorders eg (Complex Mental Health, Autism, ABI, Dementia, Huntington's, Behaviours of Concern) as well as other disabilitiesto lead meaningful lives. EPICisdedicated to working with vulnerable people and making sure that they don’t slip through the cracks.

We currently haveimmediate vacanciesfor qualified and experiencedSupport Workersto assist our participants inMelbourne and Mornington Peninsula suburbs - These include Northern, South and South Eastern suburbs down to Frankston as well as Mornington Peninsula Suburbs,supporting participants in theirhomes and in Supported Independent Living options (SIL)

Our participants have various support needs***that include:capacity building to*deisolate, community access, supporting recovery, personal care, medication assistance, hoisting, shopping, cooking, attending recreational and group activities, attending appointments, maintaining relationships and transportation.**You will be performing a vital role in assisting participants to achieve their NDIS plan goals.

We support people for a variety of shifts7 days a week, daytime, evening and overnight shifts.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health and or Disability Support

Experience working with people living with Mental Health disorders

Experience working with Autism in Adults, Youth or Children

Experience working with people living with Dementia and other Neurological disorders

Additional cert quals in AOD will be highly regarded

Current Police and Working with Children Check

First Aid/CPR

2 professional reference checks

Current full driver's license and a reliable, insured car
