About the role
Permanent part time position (0.8) based at our Perth office. Workdays/hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at 10am - 6pm. Reporting directly to the Team Leader National Dementia Helpline, you will be responsible for:
- Providing brief, dementia-specific consultations through incoming and outgoing phone calls, live chat, and email. (Dementia awareness training will be provided.)
- Facilitating service referrals to relevant internal and external services, including education programs, support groups, and other appropriate services tailored to client needs.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of client activity and other relevant information in compliance with professional, legal, and telephony system standards.
- Participating in monthly team meetings, formal clinical supervision sessions, and allocated professional development time.

About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate speciality area such as Counselling, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or similar.
- Experience providing individual solution focussed support/information/counselling in an appropriate health/allied health/aged care field.
- Previous experience in providing individual telephone-based support services, (previous experience in a health contact centre will be highly regarded).
- Understands and is proficient in using available technologies and information to maximise efficiencies and deliver effective services.
- Achieves results through a commitment to quality, planning and efficient resourcing.
- Continually develops and applies specialist and technical skills and expertise to achieve work outcomes.
- Communicates clearly and openly with different audiences.
