Job Description
About Outcare
Outcare is a community-focused organisation that provides tailored support for people impacted by trauma, mental health challenges, family and domestic violence, and systemic disadvantage. While we have a strong foundation in the justice and child protection systems, our work goes far beyond these sectors - meeting people at critical points in their lives to provide care, guidance, and connection.
The Role
As a Case Manager in the Start Court program, you’ll walk alongside participants, their families, and carers – helping people navigate the justice system, break down barriers, and rebuild their futures.
This role is about advocacy, connection, and creating lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
Advocate in court for participants so their voices are heard, and progress is recognised. Work as part of a team alongside peer workers, psychologists, corrections staff, and health professionals. Provide hands-on support with housing, training, education and group programs. Build strong, trusting relationships with participants, families and carers. Check risks and create safety plans so participants feel supported and safe. Stay on top of casework – assessments, planning and reporting to keep the program running smoothly.
About the START Court team
The Start Court team at Outcare is a passionate, knowledgeable, and fun group of people who bring both professionalism and heart to everything they do. Dedicated to supporting participants through compassionate, wraparound care, they work collaboratively with health and justice partners to make a real difference in people’s lives. They’re now looking for someone who shares their values of empathy, teamwork, and commitment to join them in making positive change.
About You
You’re someone who is committed, compassionate, and organised.
You’ll bring:
A tertiary qualification in human services (Cert IV Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or similar).
Experience supporting people with complex needs (mental health, AOD, justice involvement).
Strong communication skills – able to engage confidently with participants, families and stakeholders.
The ability to work effectively across diverse cultural and social backgrounds, with cultural competence in working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Comfort with technology to keep records and reports up to date.
Bonus points if you hold Mental Health First Aid or other specialist training.
Other Requirements
Australian citizenship or working rights.
National Police Clearance (justice involvement does not automatically exclude applicants).
Working With Children Check.
Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
Ability to obtain and maintain WA Government security clearance.
Why Join Us?
At Outcare, our people are our greatest strength. We know the work you do is challenging – so we make sure you feel supported, rewarded, and able to grow.
Here’s what you’ll enjoy:

Salary packaging to increase your take-home pay. 17.5% annual leave loading – extra pay when you take a break.
