Job Description
CODA Disability Support Assoc. Inc was established in 1989 and is a NDIS registered, not-for-profit organisation. CODA is an organisation that prides itself on the work we do and supports we provide which include - 24/7 accommodation and SIL support; STA and holiday support; Community participation supports; Plan Management and Support Coordination services to adults with a disability living in the extended Brisbane, Ipswich and Bayside areas.
Based in Upper Mount Gravatt, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedFinance Managerto lead our Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will oversee three direct reports across Finance, Plan Management and Payroll. This is a hands-on leadership role that will see you ensuring financial integrity, managing payroll and reporting, and driving continuous improvement in our financial operations.

Your responsibilities will be to:
Leading the Accounts, Plan Management and Payroll team, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance
Preparing month-end financial accounts and reporting to the CEO and Treasurer (including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, reconciliations, schedules and payments)
Preparing financial acquittals for funding bodies on a quarterly basis
Coordinating Business Activity Statements, annual and program budgets, and reforecasting
Supporting annual and interim audits with required documentation
Completing payroll reconciliation, overseeing staff entitlements, superannuation and leave management
Preparing financial data, statistical reports and summaries to support business planning and compliance
Undertaking backfill work during staff leave or absences (including Payroll support) to ensure continuity of service
Adhere and work to the Policies of the organisation, the NDIS Code of Conduct and have knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013.
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, and membership with a professional accounting body
Strong skills in QuickBooks, accounting/payroll systems and MS Excel
Demonstrated experience in financial management within a community-based or NFP organisation (disability, aged care, youth or health sectors desirable)
Knowledge of accounting regulations, legislation and practice within the not-for-profit sector
Experience in payroll processing and an understanding of industrial awards/agreements
High-level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to problem solve, negotiate and collaborate effectively within a team
Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and meet deadlines in a busy environment
Desirableexperience in NDIS (incl. Plan Management), Not-for-Profit entities and Salary Sacrifice Packaging, as well as an understanding of the SCHADS Award.
Additional Requirements:
A current NDIS Worker Screening Card (or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
