Position: Administration Officer – Finance & Database Location: Woolloongabba, Brisbane Employment Type: Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm Reports to: General Manager
For 50 years, Childhood Cancer Support has been a lifeline for regional families navigating the unimaginable – a child’s cancer diagnosis. We provide a home close to care for families who must relocate to Brisbane so their child can access life-saving treatment at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

As we continue to grow and prepare for the opening of a new 15-unit accommodation village in East Brisbane, we’re seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Officer – Finance & Database to join our passionate team in Woolloongabba.
🔑 Your Key Responsibilities
This is a pivotal role within our organisation. You'll be responsible for the smooth operation of our administrative systems, financial processes, and supporter database.
You will:
· Be the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries – phone, email and in-person.
· Manage reception, mail, office supplies, filing, correspondence, and general administrative functions.
· Oversee accounts receivable/payable using MYOB – including patient travel claims, supplier payments, donor receipts, and reconciliations.
· Maintain the integrity of our CRM database – ensuring donor, member and family data is accurate and current (training provided).
· Provide reporting support and monthly updates on accommodation occupancy, transport usage and other metrics.
· Assist the General Manager with diary coordination, document preparation, travel bookings, and governance support.
· Help with grant administration, event logistics, and volunteer support.
📘 What You Bring
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role across administration and finance (AP/AR).
· Advanced proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Office 365 experience desirable.
· Strong database management and attention to detail.
· Experience in the not-for-profit or community sector is highly regarded.
· Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
