About the role

Brisbane City Home Care Pty Ltd is currently seeking experienced and compassionatefemale Support Workersto join our team on acasual basis. In this role, you will deliver personalised in-home support to individuals living with disabilities across theLogan and Ipswich regions, with a focus on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

We work with a diverse group of participants, offering a range of support services—from assistance****with daily self-care to Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements.

What you'll be doing

Providing personal care assistance, such as bathing, grooming and dressing

Helping with household tasks like cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Accompanying clients to appointments and running errands

Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to combat isolation

Reporting any changes in client condition or needs to the care team

Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our clients

Medication administration

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for helping others and improving their quality of life

Background in working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours

Experienced in working with individuals with diverse needs, including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder and ASD.

Enthusiastic about sharing enjoyable experiences with clients, which may include creative, social, and leisure activities like arts and crafts, cooking, baking, gardening, bowling, shopping, and movie trips.

Flexibility with shifts and availability is essential. Shifts may include morning, afternoon, sleepover, and active overnight shifts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work independently as well as as part of a team

A caring, patient and empathetic nature

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

First Aid and CPR certification

NDIS Worker screening card (Yellow Card)

NDIS worker Orientation module certificate
