Position 1 – Male Disability Support Worker – Nambour
We are seeking a qualified male disability worker to support a 19-year-old man who has fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. This young man has just moved into a group home and requires assistance with establishing good routines, writing a shopping list for personal items, budgeting, shopping and keeping to a list, bill paying, laundry, keeping room tidy and planning his week.
The ideal candidate would have a cert III in Individual Disability Support and experience.
Monday mornings for 4-5 hours, times to be confirmed.
Position 2 – Male Disability Support Worker – Palmwoods
We are seeking an active mature young male to support a 10-year-old boy who lives with his family in Palmwoods. He has ASD and Epilepsy (currently seizure-free and managed through medication). The young boy has some challenging behaviours at times and benefits from a strong connection with his team of support workers.
The successful candidate must have experience working with young boys with, ideally have experience working in a family environment and needs to be confident in their understanding of ASD-related needs.
Tuesday and Friday - 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Position 3 – Male Disability Support Worker – Wurtulla
We are seeking a mature male to support a man in his 30’s with ASD to set-up a lawn-mowing business from scratch.
Experience in running a small business, landscaping and lawnmowing would be preferable as would be experience in assisting someone on the autism spectrum.
8 to 10 hours per week, days and times are negotiable
Position 4 – Female Disability Support Worker – Buderim
We are seeking a qualified female disability support worker to assist a family with two girls aged 10 and 12 who are home schooled. The position will require you to support the girls with community access, exercise and games. Enabling the mother to have respite.
Position 5 – Male Disability Support Worker - Mooloolah Valley
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Disability Support Worker to support a teenage male with ASD who is living in a shared home environment. This role focuses on providing community access support and encouraging independence.
This position will require you to support the participant to increase social engagement, encourage outdoor activities, an active lifestyle and facilitate community outings in a safe and supportive manner.
Mondays 10am–2pm (with the potential for additional hours in the future)
Position 6 - Female Disability Support Worker - Buderim
Seeking a female disability support worker to assist a family with three children with before school and after school support. Duties include – assisting with getting the children up and ready for school (breakfasts, making lunches etc), school runs, attending appointments and after school care. The ideal candidate would like horses, music and nature, be gentle, reliable, have an understanding of autism spectrum disorder and enjoy working with children in a family home.
Various shift available during the week with additional shifts offered over school holidays and on the occasional weekend.

DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER ROLES:
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to support individuals with a disability to live a meaningful and fulfilling life and to help deliver accessible, compassionate, reliable and high-quality services to participants. Your duties with SCILL will vary greatly, depending on the person you are supporting, and will include lifestyle support, daily living support, community access, healthcare support etc.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Excellent communication and listening skills.
High level of initiative & great problem-solving skills.
Have demonstrated an ability to view people with disability as valued individuals with human rights.
Are committed to a person-centred approach.
Certificate in disability work, aged care or desire to obtain.
Smartphone with internet access and ability to send short reports as emails.
Current NDIS Worker Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
Current Working with Children’s Card (or be willing to obtain)
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (or be willing to obtain)
National Police check obtained within the last 12 months.
Valid Queensland Driver licence and access to registered, insured vehicle.
Able to work in Australia with no restrictions on hours.
Can commit to the same time and days each week
