Disability Support Worker

About the roleLocated in Sunnybank Hills, we are seeking disability support workers with an understanding of Dementia, Hoisting, Manual Handling, Mealtime Management and Personal Care. You will be assisting our clients with all aspects of daily living as well as accessing the community. The shifts are regular and consistent. Whether you are looking for AM, PM, weekends or sleepovers, we can work around your lifestyle.

Your key responsibilitiesOur team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

Hoisting

Manual handling

Personal care

Medication administration

Mealtime management

Domestic assistance

About youTo join our team, we're looking for:

Previous manual handling and hoisting experience or hoisting

Previous dementia experience or certification

Previous disability experience

Certificate III in Disability/Community Services or similar

Current First Aid and CPR

NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)

Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Current driver licence and own vehicle

We are also looking for someone with excellent communication skills, builds rapport quickly, actively engages with clients, has a caring and supportive nature and who takes a client-centred approach.
