Job Description

38+ hours a week (mostly weekdays from 9am - 5pm but this may vary)

Location: mainly North Brisbane, Bayside and Central Brisbane
You will be great in this role if you have:
Reliability: Providing support to our clients' everyday living tasks to assist them to live as independently as possible. Providing personal care and domestic assistance support. Assisting with medication administering.
Emotional resilience, patience and compassion: Building a good rapport and strong relationship with your clients and ensuring they are actively working towards with the support plan and towards their long-term care goals.
Excellent communication: with both the clients and management. Ensuring the clients are heard and respected, as well as communicating clearly and frequently with the office and their caretakers of any updates that occur with the client and their environment.
Adaptability & Teamwork: Assisting clients to access the community for appointments, groups or general fun activities that the client enjoys. Ensuring they build a good relationship to draw the client out and participate in daily activities.
Attention to detail: Following care plans, administering medication, detailed shift notes, and tracking changes in behaviour or health accurately through accurate documentation and consistent communication with management.
Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to respond calmly and effectively to unexpected situations, adapt to changing client needs, and think creatively to support individual goals. Confident in identifying issues, resolving challenges independently or as part of a team, and using resources wisely to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Must Have Qualifications:
NDIS Yellow Screening Card
Blue Card
QLD Driver's License (or willingness to obtain)
Comprehensive Car Insurance & Car Rego
CPR Certificate
First Aid Certificate
Permanent working rights in Australia.
Experience and training are preferred but not essential. You will gain great experience through Dependable Care DRPS, further education and growth is also encouraged while working with us.
