Disability Support Worker

Qualifications & experience

Either have or be willing to obtain a Certificate III in Disabilities, Mental Health, or a related industry (deemed by the employer).

Must be fit able to attend gym and exercise with client

Experience with personal care & mobility aids

First Aid and CPR

Current Qld driver's licence

Reliable vehicle

Medication Training

You will be required to apply for or hold a current blue card and yellow card (or NDIS Worker Screening)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module

Shifts include weekday, weekend and sleep-overs- must be available for all

Tasks & responsibilities

Managing challenging behaviours

Assisting with personal care - including showers

Providing practical & emotional support

Transporting individuals to appointments, outdoor activities and gym

Maintaining the home environment through general household duties

Networking and building good communication with external professionals

Completing incident reports, updating records and shift notes

Supporting NDIS Clients to meet their individual NDIS goals
