ABOUT US
Aspire Together was established in 2021 by a social worker with many years of experience in all aspects of disability support. We excel at providing support to people who have trouble finding a suitable service provider to meet their needs. We provide innovative solutions to address the barriers and difficulties that people with disabilities and their families experience, work on improving their quality of life through a wide range of services including in-home support, community access, social skills development, short term accommodations and Supported Independent Living. Our mission is to offer and implement a wide range of services and supports for individuals, to the highest standard, respectful of every individual's right to exercise choice and control.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will work closely with participants to empower them, foster their independence, promote community and social participation, provide timely emotional support, work with them to improve their physical and mental health, and quality of life, in line with the goals stated in their NDIS plans.
General

Always check your understanding of the participant's required tasks before commencing your work
Implement personal hygiene and infection control procedures
Stay observant and respond promptly to any changes in a participant’s behavior, mood, or well-being
Adjust your tasks to meet participant's needs, preferences and priorities
Record all work as per the organisation's requirements
Duties will vary according to the participant's support plan but may include

Assisting people to perform important daily activities
Facilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks
Performing home-based tasks such as food preparation and housework
Undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping
Ensuring varied programs of social activities
Providing emotional support
Support participant to express views, raise concerns, report complaints and incidents
Embedding Child Safe Standards when working with children and young people
Qualifications
Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (Required)
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (Required)
At least 3 months proven experience (Desired)
NDIS Worker screening or DHS Clearance
Full Australian current driver’s license
Comprehensively insured and roadworthy vehicle
Skill and Experience

Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with various ages, cultures and ability levels clearly, inclusively and respectfully
Ability to build rapport and trust with clients
Strong time management and ability to prioritise
General computer proficiency for record-keeping
Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships
Recognise and report any threat in circumstances and environment
Preferred minimum six months relevant experience
Experience supporting people with disability
Demonstrated continuing professional development
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
Use of equipment related to personal and work safety
Promoted participant's choice and independence
Supported participants in hygiene practices
