We’re a growing high school that’s looking for a Disability Support Officer (DSO) to join us for a fixed term from 13 October 2025 to 14 August 2026 to support students with intellectual disabilities and other diagnoses.

You’ll be able to:

Support the students of the Margaret More Centre (MMC) so they reach a position in which they are ready to engage in the learning process.

Collaborate with staff and external providers to provide consistent support for students living with a disability.

Support teachers in the maintenance of a positive learning environment.

Assist with the care of students on excursions, sports days, work experience and other classroom activities, which may include personal care.

Do you have?

A tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Certificate IV in Disability).

Knowledge of a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities.

Experience in challenging the behavioural choices of young people living with one or more disabilities.

The ability to work flexibly in a highly dynamic team.

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; the ability to engage with students and staff in an inclusive and positive manner.

Great time management skills; the ability to balance priorities effectively.
