Join Our Team as a Support Worker – Community Access Focus
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals in accessing their local community and achieving greater independence.
As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with clients living with disabilities ,helping them engage in everyday activities such as fulfilling hobbies, attending appointments & running errands—all while promoting recovery, dignity, and well-being.The right candidate must be available Wednesday mornings.
About the role:
To support the participants in home and out in the community.
To know and understand the care and support of the participant
To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants' Care Plan using a person-centered approach and in the least intrusive way
To assists in household duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking.
To provide personal care and support to participants with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities
To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly
To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the participants
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with participants
Job Details:
**Qualification Requirement:**Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support
Minimum 1 years' experience supporting clients with physical disabilities.
Full Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for community transport duties
Fluent English is essential
Skills: Communication, Proactive, Leadership
**Pay:**Competitive rates based on SCHADS
Expected Hours: Wednesday Morning Shift
**Required Licenses/Certifications:**All certifications must be current: Full Drivers Licence, First Aid (within 3 years), CPR (within 12 months), NDIS Worker Screening (within 3 years), Police Check (within 12 months)
**Work Authorization:**Australia (Required)
