Job Description
Keolis Downer (KD) is a leading private provider of multimodal public transport in Australia, working collaboratively with State Governments to develop transports solutions that are tailored for all passengers, regardless of their background. In Adelaide, KD partnered with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport in early 2021 with the aim of delivering revitalized passenger train services to the local community and increasing public transport patronage across South Australia.
Following recent business changes, KD will take on the critical role ofcustodian of the local networkover the next decade, with a focus onasset managementandmaintenance. In the shorter term, KD will continue to focus on the provision of customer experience and security services for the next two years, until 2027.

We are currently seeking aBusiness Partner Assuranceto join our team, responsible for providing expert advice, support and assessment in assuring compliance across all business activities. The role will develop, implement and embed the Assurance Framework and Program and supporting management systems. The role's focus will be ensuring assurance practices across the organization are robust, resilient, consistent, and aligned with business risk and strategic objectives.
You will:
Lead the development and implementation of the Assurance Framework and Program.
Partner with business units to embed consistent assurance practices.
Conduct audits, maturity assessments, and compliance reviews.
Analyze data and incidents to identify non-compliance and improvement opportunities.
Provide strategic advice using industry benchmarks and regulatory insights.
Maintain assurance-related plans and registers, including legislative updates.
Support regulator relationships and stakeholder engagement.
Champion the development of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) across Safety, Asset, Environment, and Quality.
Participate in toolbox talks, team meetings, and field activities to maintain strong business engagement.
**About you: **
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or 3+ years in a senior assurance, compliance, or governance role.
Proven experience influencing organizational culture and assurance adoption.
Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 31000, 15288, 55001).
Experience in developing and embedding assurance frameworks and IMS.
Familiarity with ONRSR regulatory requirements and rail infrastructure assurance.
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
Ability to build effective relationships, educate and mentor.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
