The Role – Lead with Your Participant
This is your chance tobring ideas, heart, and fun into every day. You’llco-design each day with your participant, create activities they’re excited about, and help them get the absolute most out of their services . From one-on-one support to our buzzingDay Programs. You’ll keep parents/guardians and allied health in the loop withclear, purposeful handoversthat keep everyone moving towards the next goal.
Mentored by Senior Support Workers – Every Step
You’re never alone in your role.Senior Support Workerswill:
Welcome you with a hands-on onboarding experience
Guide you through session planning and creative problem-solving
Review your notes, celebrate your wins, and help you refine your approach
Give regular, practical feedback that grows your confidence and skills
Guided by Allied Health – Real-World Know-How
OurOccupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Speech Pathologistsoffer more than therapy plans, they give youpractical, real-world guidanceyou can use straight away. You’ll learn how to:
Applycommunication supportsfrom speech therapy
Put OT strategies into action for routines, independence, and life skills
Support safe, enjoyable movement programs from physio and EP
Share your observations so we can adapt and improve together
You’ll also get toattend allied-health–run workshopsso you can keep building your skills and your toolkit.
What You’ll Do
Daily Living with Dignity

Support with personal care (showering, grooming, continence, dressing)
Encourage independence through skill-building meal prep and mealtime support
Turn light domestic tasks (laundry, tidying) into practical learning moments
Community, Skills & Fun
-
Plan and lead activities your participant truly loves — coffee outings, gym sessions, art projects, market trips, sports, cooking, library visits, transport training
Build life skills like money handling, using timetables, creating shopping lists, and developing social confidence
Join inDay Programsthat bring people together for life skills, fitness, and creative workshops. all with a sense of purpose and fun
Therapy Guidance in Action

Put allied-health advice into practice: communication aids, structured routines, exercise programs, and environmental setup
Share what worked, what needs adjusting, and what’s next with your Senior Support Worker and allied health team
Documentation & Handover Comms

Writeclear, upbeat progress notesthat show how micro and macro goals are being achieved
Providetargeted handoversto parents/guardians and allied health so everyone’s on the same page
Safety & Professionalism
-
Follow therapy plans; use calm, effective de-escalation strategies
Support medication routines (if applicable)
Always uphold NDIS Practice Standards, boundaries, privacy, and infection control
Be consistent and reliable with rosters

Must Haves

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
First Aid & CPR
Driver’s licence + reliable vehicle
COVID-19 vaccination compliance
WWCC (if applicable)

Experience in disability, aged care, or community support
