Support Worker - Casual - Multiple Vacancies Available – Various Regions

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals in need within the disability sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to helping others from diverse backgrounds. This casual role offers flexible working hours while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional and physical support to individuals in need

• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding

• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals

• Accompany individuals to appointments and activities

• Maintain accurate records of services provided

• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals

• Monitor and report any changes in an individual's condition

• Provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals

Qualifications:

• Cert III or Cert IV in Community Services or relevant qualification preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Compassionate demeanor with patience towards clients' needs

• Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally

• Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes

• Valid NSW driver's license with reliable transportation
