We're seeking a qualified and compassionate Social Worker who wants to work in a neuro-affirming, relational, and strengths-based team. This is a role for someone who can hold complexity, offer calm, and gently walk with families navigating the many systems around them.

Who We Are
The Neuro Nest is a multidisciplinary, values-driven practice supporting neurodivergent children, teens, young adults and their families with creative, affirming and wraparound care. We prioritise:
Trauma-informed, relationship-first supports
Empowerment, autonomy and advocacy for children and families
Family systems thinking, community connection, and practical problem-solving
Safety, sustainability, and compassion for both participants and clinicians

What You’ll Do
As our Social Worker, you’ll offer:
Neruo Nest sessions 1:1 with participants in a group environment
Holiday program community outings and engagement
Psychosocial support and emotional processing for parents/carers
Case coordination and care navigation
Systems advocacy (NDIS, schools, services, medical teams)
Family-focused goal setting and capacity building
Safety planning and trauma-informed relational support
Collaboration with our OTs, Psychs, Speechies & Educators
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our participants feel supported as whole people, not just “therapy cases”.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

Hold a relevant qualification and are eligible for AASW membership
Bring experience (or strong interest) in child/family work, neurodivergence or trauma
Have strong interpersonal, reflective and boundary-setting skills
Are able to support clients navigating complex systems like NDIS, schools or health
Value collaboration, creativity, and emotional honesty
