About the Role
TheQuality Assurance Advisorwill work in close collaboration with the leadership team to manage internal audits and lead quality reviews of Striive Care’s Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) and NDIS services. This role is pivotal in driving service excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and embedding best practices across all levels of service delivery.
The advisor will also be responsible for preparing the organisation for external audits conducted by NDIS, CYF, or other relevant authorities. In addition, they will oversee the management and continuous improvement of Striive Care’s quality and compliance systems—including WHS, policies, procedures, manuals, and internal frameworks. The role will provide expert guidance to staff, support capacity-building initiatives, and promote a culture of accountability and improvement.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage internal audits of residential homes, including reviews of care practices, documentation, and service delivery standards.
Prepare the organisation for external audits conducted by NDIS, CYF, and other relevant regulatory or accreditation bodies.
Evaluate compliance with legislative requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
Identify areas of non-compliance and potential risk; provide expert, actionable recommendations for improvement.
Develop and present detailed audit reports with key findings, risk analysis, and recommendations for improvement.
Work collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders to implement and monitor corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
Track and follow up on audit outcomes to ensure timely resolution of identified issues and demonstrate audit readiness.
Stay up to date with changes in OOHC and NDIS standards, compliance obligations, and sector best practices.
Deliver training and support to staff on quality assurance processes, audit preparation, and continuous improvement strategies.
Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to Striive Care’s operations.
Maintain accurate records of audits, assessments, compliance activities, and corrective actions, and prepare reports for management and regulators.
Identify emerging risks and trends; develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard clients and the organisation.
Write and review Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) reports to support quality oversight and case compliance.
Complete critical incident reports as required in accordance with statutory and internal reporting guidelines.
Create and maintain participantfilesin the client database system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality compliance.
Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality, audit, or compliance role, ideally in OOHC, NDIS or community services
Working knowledge of relevant standards: NDIS Practice Standards, Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Confident communicator with the ability to support and guide staff
Proficiency in using audit tools and MS Office
Qualifications in human services, quality management, or related field
Quality auditing certification or experience supporting accreditation is desirable

Remuneration aligned with SCHADS Level 4–5, based on qualifications and demonstrated experience in quality, compliance, or auditing.
