Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality and Compliance Officer is responsible for day to day oversight of the DDHS quality management system (QMS) including all system inputs and outputs relating to quality, compliance and incident management.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the DDHS QMS
- Manage QMS user accounts (adding, removing, changing)
- Review and deliver staff induction as required to ensure staff are trained in the use of the QMS
- Ensure the smooth flow of information to the appropriate DDHS staff, leaders and the Executive team in relation to incidents, risks, quality or compliance issues
- Provide support to staff and respond to QMS queries and issues
- Monitor overdue items in QMS and liaise with staff to resolve outstanding items
- Plan and arrange organisational events related to continuous quality improvement or compliance as directed by the CQI Manager
- Support DDHS to maintain licencing and accreditation requirements
- Support DDHS to maintain clinical equipment servicing and calibration requirements
- Provide secretariat support to DDHS governance groups as directed by the Executive Manager, Corporate Services
SELECTION****CRITERIA
Essential
- Ability to work independently
- High order administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to engage with all levels of staff to train and induct
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication
- Proficient in interpreting data and presenting it to a variety of audiences
Desirable
- Experience coordinating and/or managing a QMS system
- Experience working with the LogiQC QMS would also be an advantage
- Experience conducting internal audits

- 6 weeks annual leave.

Willing to undergo a Police Check.
Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
Current driver?s licence.
Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
