Psychologists & Social Workers
Urban Psychology
Ringwood, Melbourne VIC
Job Description
The organisation
Urban Psychologyis an exciting and dynamic organisation that provides rehabilitation opportunities for service users in the criminal justice system. We focus specifically on addressing the use of violence, whether that be family violence, general violence or sexual violence. Our objective is to make the world a safer place, and improve the lives of service users and their families. We provide assessments and interventions so that service users can learn to navigate their way through the world without resorting to aggression or violence. We provide services both in prison and in the community, sometimes face to face and sometimes using Zoom.
Urban Psychology has a well-established team of clinical, administration and senior staff as well as a number of sub-contractors. We have created an exceptional culture, that is flexible, supportive and professional. We understand that working in a private practice can be an isolating experience and because we enjoy working with others, at Urban Psychology we work as a team. Most of our interventions are group-based and we facilitate these programs in teams with an experienced program supervisor providing continuous support. Our clinical staff have the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled and experienced facilitators in the state.
