Part Time Position - Psychologist
Deakin Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art mental health facility providing comprehensive services in both hospital and private practice settings. We are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Our hospital and private practice cater to a diverse range of clients, offering both inpatient and outpatient services.
Deakin Private is a 52 bed Hospital consisting of group therapy rooms and doctors consulting suites. Deakin Private has a 12-bed specialised PTSD/Trauma Support Unit for Military and First Responders. The hospital provides an innovative model of private mental care and is a fully integrated inpatient, day patient and outpatient mental health hospital that serves the region.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Psychologist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work across both hospital and private practice settings, providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to individualized treatment plans and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Currently registered Psychologist with AHPRA.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Previous experience working in a Mental Health setting.
Previous experience delivering group therapy interventions.
Experience in the delivery of CBT, DBT and ACT based therapies
Ability to liaise with medical and nursing staff regarding patient management.
Ability to work cooperatively and positively influence teams.
Familiar with Private Health Insurance, DVA, Workcover, Third-party and Medicare requirements related to allied health care.
Comprehensive computer literacy.
Previous experience working with patients with occupational trauma is high regarded.
