Position Purpose:
The Project Lead will lead the end-to-end delivery of the Project lifecycle, such as the delivery of the Medicare Mental Health Centres in the Far West region, with responsibility across two key domains: project management and health planning.
Selection Criteria
Essential
· Demonstrated experience in a project management role
· Have an understanding and/or experience in Health Planning
· Proven ability to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets and under time pressures.
· Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture including a commitment to cultural safety.
· Understanding of the project management life cycle and an ability to track and report against milestones.
· Proven track record in stakeholder management, including an ability to build relationships and strategic partnerships.
· Advanced computer skills required for MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
· Capacity to travel within western NSW; hold a current driver’s licence.
Desirable
· Degree level qualification in business and/or project management or a related discipline.
· A broad understanding of the mental health service system in Australia.
· Experience working in the health, NGO or community services sectors
· Experience in working with Aboriginal people, organisations and communities in view of planning and implementing services and achieving outcomes for Aboriginal people.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Well-developed analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
