IMMEDIATE START - Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner

Engaged Support Services is seeking a highly motivated andexperienced, and registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitionerto join our passionate team in Launceston, Tasmania. This full-time role will see you play a crucial part in supporting individuals with complex needs to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Implement evidence-based strategies to effectively manage and reduce behaviours of concern

Provide training and coaching to support staff and families to implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery

Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice

What we're looking for

-

NDIS registration as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitionerwith practitioner suitability and a Practitioner number.

Tertiary qualificationin Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or a related field

Minimum 3 years' experienceworking as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and the ability to apply these in practice

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and implement tailored solutions

Proficient in the use of relevant assessment tools and data collection methods

Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment
