About the Opportunity

As a graduate Occupational Therapist, you'll serve as a valued member of ECH's multidisciplinary team, where you'll develop your skills in conducting comprehensive assessments and care planning to determine individuals' capabilities and create targeted care strategies that maximise independence and quality of life.

This graduate-focused role provides extensive learning opportunities through delivering a diverse range of one-on-one interventions, including health behaviour change counselling, home environment assessments, equipment recommendations and home modifications to enhance client safety and independence within their chosen living environments. You'll receive mentorship and support as you build confidence in your clinical practice while making a meaningful difference in clients' lives.

About You

The ideal graduate Occupational Therapist is a compassionate and empathetic new professional who combines foundational clinical knowledge with exceptional communication skills and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow.

You're ready to develop your advocacy skills while delivering individualised treatment programs under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

You demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation and possess a genuine commitment to continuous learning and professional development, while showing the understanding and patience required to work sensitively with older adults and their families. Your fresh perspective and enthusiasm for evidence-based practice will be welcomed as valuable contributions to our team.

Essential Requirements

Recent graduation or soon to be graduated with Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent

Registration or eligibility for registration with Occupational Therapy Australia

National Police check

Driver's licence

Enthusiasm for working with older adults and commitment to professional growth
