Occupational Therapist

About the role

Wonderful Mind Therapy and Counselling is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Doreen and Craigieburn, VIC on a contract/casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our diverse client base, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, needs and goals

Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs

Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions focused on improving daily living skills, mobility, and overall functioning

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, patient-centred care

Document client progress, maintain accurate records, and submit reports as required

Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Occupational Therapy

Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

Minimum 2 years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise a diverse caseload

Passion for empowering clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life
