We are now seeking a skilled and proactive Human Resources professional to join our team—someone who not only brings a strong HR foundation but also possesses a deep understanding of the NDIS sector, incident management frameworks, and enterprise bargaining environments.
Key Purpose
As a key member of the People & Culture team, the Human Resources Manager will play a strategic and operational role in shaping our workforce. · Lead and manage HR investigations and incident responses in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and workplace legislation.
· Ensure compliance with reporting and response requirements under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
· Collaborate on the application and interpretation of industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements and Modern SCHADS Awards.
· Assist with performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, and employee relations issues.
· Support the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with Help At Home’s values and strategic objectives.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring a well-rounded HR toolkit and a strong working knowledge of the unique compliance and cultural landscape of the NDIS environment.
Essential Criteria:
· Demonstrated high-level understanding of the NDIS sector, including Quality and Safeguards requirements.
· Experience in incident and complaint management, with the ability to manage investigations sensitively and effectively.
· High level knowledge of Australian employment law and the practical application of Enterprise Agreements.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
· High level of discretion and emotional intelligence when managing complex HR matters.
· A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to influence and coach managers.
· High level knowledge of the SCHADS Award.
Desirable:
· Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
· Previous experience in a not-for-profit, disability, aged care, or community services setting.
What we offer
· A meaningful role in a values-driven organisation committed to improving lives.
· Flexible working arrangements and a supportive team culture.
· Not-for-profit salary packaging options.
· Ongoing professional development opportunities.
