About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and capableDomestic & Family Violence Specialistto provide trauma-informed, client-centered support to individuals and families affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence across our region. This role involves risk assessment, safety planning, case management, and advocacy, ensuring that clients receive the care and resources they need to achieve safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centered engagement and advocacy for clients navigating support systems.
Respond to, and implement trauma-informed risk assessments, safety planning, and provision of crisis support.
Liase, strengthen and collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the region.
Promote best practice and safety across all areas of work, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
About You:
Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in the human services field.
Understanding of gender-based violence, case management, and crisis response, including risk assessments and safety planning.
Knowledge of theDomestic & Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
Exceptional communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to feminist, trauma-informed, and client-centered practice.
