Key Responsibilities

Provide personalized support to individuals by assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household responsibilities.

Facilitate community engagement by supporting clients in accessing social and recreational activities and enhancing their independent living skills.

Advocate effectively for clients’ needs and preferences while collaborating with other professionals to ensure holistic and person-centred care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to monitor progress and measure outcomes.

Uphold compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards to create a safe and supportive environment.

About You

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who meets the following criteria:

Demonstrated experience in a disability support role with a solid understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.

Minimum 2 years experience

Supporting people with a physical disability

Experience in personal care

Capable of pushing a manual wheelchair

Capable of manual handling and transfers

Experience with supporting someone with diabetes (Not mandatory)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Proven ability to adapt and respond flexibly to the diverse needs of clients.

A caring and empathetic nature, coupled with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.

A positive, light-hearted attitude that fosters a fun and uplifting environment whilst ensuring a professional standard of care.

A confident and safe driver able to provide reliable transportation for participants.

Application Requirements

To apply for this position, you must provide the following:

Working with Children Check (blue card)

Police Check.

First Aid Certificate.

CPR Certificate.

Preferably a relevant diploma or certification in the field. E.g. Cert III in Induvial Support (Not mandatory)

Proof of car registration and comprehensive car insurance.

Valid NDIS Worker Check (yellow card)

This role requires flexible availability, as shifts may vary based on client needs. Weekend shifts may become available, and higher pay rates apply for weekend work. The listed rate reflects standard daytime pay.
