**Employment Term:**Casual Location: Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast (predominantly WFH) Remuneration: $48 per hour + Super

Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are seeking self motivated, caring and empathetic individuals with a flair for expressing themselves with written words to join our Human Assisted Digital (HADs) team on a casual basis and will require the flexibility to cover shifts across a 7 day and 24 hr period.
The Crisis Supporter provides one-off support to help seekers contacting Lifeline via the text and chat options. Predominantly 'work from home', the successful applicant will occasionally be required to attend a Lifeline site.
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge and skills related to the use of technology and applications and the ability to work empathically with individual help seekers to relieve their distress and empower them in a time of crisis, with a focus on safety from suicide.

Completed Lifeline Australia's Digital Crisis Supporter training
Experience working within a similar role delivering crisis support
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, high levels of self-motivation and experience working as part of a remote team
A private space where you can work from home, access to a computer and own monitor and reliable internet
A positive Blue Card
The ability to commit to a criminal history check
The ability to work empathically with individual help seekers to relieve their distress and empower them in a time of crisis, with a focus on safety from suicide
