Carer Solutions was founded in 2011 with a clear mission to create a much-needed solution for people living with disabilities and their support networks. We pioneered Australia’s first and only Direct Employ model and have since supported thousands of people to employ trusted Support Workers from within their own communities.

We’re seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join our Community Engagement Team to help expand our reach across Victoria, working across Metropolitan Melbourne and the Southeast of Victoria. You will build meaningful connections that support people living with disability and their families – making real impact every day.

The impact you will drive

As Community Engagement Specialist, you'll play a critical role in growing Carer Solutions' reach by engaging directly with individuals, families, and community organisations at the grassroots level. Reporting to the National Partnerships Manager, you'll be our brand ambassador, building trusted relationships and generating new opportunities.

This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change through:

Developing and implementing grassroots community engagement strategies that generate new business and strengthen our presence across Victoria

Building trusted, long-term relationships with prospective Partners, councils, specialist schools, advocacy groups, and community organisations

Representing Carer Solutions at community events, expos, and stakeholder forums across Victoria, with regular travel required

You're a natural connector who thrives in face-to-face settings and knows how to turn conversations into meaningful relationships. You bring:

Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with individuals, families, and community stakeholders at a grassroots level – ideally within disability, community services, or not-for-profit sectors

A natural ability to connect with diverse audiences, foster long-term partnerships, and represent the organisation with professionalism, warmth, and authenticity

Sound understanding of community needs, referral networks, and sector trends, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth

Demonstrated ability to manage a mobile, community-facing role with regular travel across Victoria and interstate, with access to a reliable vehicle and current driver's licence
