Qualifications & experience
Registered Nurses (AHPRA)
Bachelor of Nursing
Police check and Covid-19 vaccination certificate required
Experience in a similar role or Aged care facilities is an advantage
Infection Prevention Control (IPC) qualification and experience is an advantage
Experience as a quality assessor is not essential, however assessor knowledge and experience is welcome.
A strong understanding of legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, in particular the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act and the Aged Care Quality Standards, or be able to demonstrate a capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge.
Tasks & responsibilities
Provide a professional, courteous, and sensitive clinical services
Build confidence and trust in amongst team, residents and the resident’s family members.
Ability to work independently, strive for excellence in resident care and promote an environment of harmony and trust with team and residents
Identify and support management and clinical team to meet the compliance with quality standards on regular basis
Administering the serious incidents response scheme
Reducing the use of restrictive practices
Provide timely, specific and meaningful feedback that promote quality and/or consistency improvements
Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant quality assurance or quality sampling tools, guidance and procedures
Applying strong communication and interpersonal skills and working constructively with internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvements.
Coordinate with the nurses for documentation, clinical services to the residents
Demonstrated ability to respond positively to change, take responsibility for managing work initiatives and the ability to build capability and provide support to teams.
