About the Role
Based at our Community Support Centre in Cessnock, this full-time role coordinates programs designed to enhance the health, happiness and social engagement of seniors in our community. The Centre is a vibrant hub offering information, leisure, wellness and recreational activities, and we are seeking a passionate Centre-Based Programs Coordinator to lead these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs that support physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
Tailor activities to meet client interests, abilities, and individual care needs
Lead and mentor staff and volunteers in daily program delivery
Build positive relationships with clients, families, carers and stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes
Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and health & safety regulations
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, documentation and program reports
Assisting with budgeting, monitor expenses and ensure program operates within allocated resources.
Requirements
Certificate IV Leisure & Health, Diversional Therapy or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Current National Police Check (suitable for aged care)
Evidence of current influenza vaccination
Current First Aid Certificate
Basic to intermediate computer skills (CRM, email, Microsoft Office)
Understanding of professional boundaries when working with clients.
Current driver licence, reliable comprehensively insured vehicle.
Good physical fitness, health and resilience to meet role demands.
