Ability Action Australia'sSouth****West Sydney teamare looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners ofall experience and suitability levels. Whether you arejust startingyour Behaviour Support career or have suitability levelsCore, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you!
Successful candidates will be providing supports to NDIS participants living in theSouth West Sydney Region. #AAA
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

About you
- Completed a degree level qualification as an allied health professional is desired
- Report writing experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
