About the role
This is a full-time or part-time based in SouthEast Melbourne, Victoria, working as an Allied Health Assistant - Speech Pathology for Humanity Health Group. In this role, you will be providing support to the Speech Pathology team, assisting with the implementation of evidence-based speech therapy programs for our clients.
What you'll be doing
Implementing individualised speech therapy programs under the direction of a qualified Speech Pathologist
Assisting with the assessment, planning, and delivery of speech therapy interventions
Providing support and education to clients and their families on speech and communication strategies
Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to the overall coordination of client care
Collaborating with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, client-centred care
Participating in team meetings, professional development, and continuous quality improvement activities
What we're looking for
Studying Speech Pathology (May look at Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance)
Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant, preferably in a speech pathology setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
A genuine interest in supporting individuals with speech, language, and communication needs
Understanding of the principles of client-centred care and a commitment to improving client outcomes
Current Australian driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
